Chris McMenamin embarked on his culinary journey over two decades ago, starting as a kitchen porter at Harvey’s Point. Fueled by an unyielding passion for gastronomy and an unwavering pursuit of excellence, Chris swiftly ascended the ranks of the culinary world. In 2005, he attained his Culinary Arts degree from Killybegs Catering College, a pivotal achievement that solidified his dedication to the craft.

Throughout his illustrious career, Chris has assumed diverse leadership roles, notably as Head Banquet Chef, where he orchestrated memorable dining experiences for discerning guests, earning accolades along the way. Following a period of refining his leadership and culinary acumen outside of Harvey’s Point, Chris was summoned back as the Executive Head Chef, a testament to his culinary prowess and exceptional leadership qualities.

Renowned for his innovative culinary techniques and unwavering commitment to his craft, Chris continues to captivate and enchant diners at Biddy’s O’Barnes, leaving an indelible mark on the culinary landscape.

Colin McKee’s culinary journey closely parallels that of his esteemed colleague and friend, Chris McMenamin. Much like Chris, Colin embarked on his culinary odyssey from humble beginnings as a kitchen porter, igniting a fervent passion for the culinary arts that would define his career trajectory. Graduating from Killybegs Catering College in 2005 marked a significant milestone for Colin, propelling him into the esteemed team at Harvey’s Point, where he diligently refined his skills under the tutelage of seasoned chefs.

Colin’s innate talent and boundless creativity propelled him swiftly through the ranks, culminating in his appointment as Head Restaurant Chef and subsequently as the Sous Chef alongside Chris, with whom he forged an exceptional partnership over seven remarkable years, evolving into an unparalleled culinary duo. Renowned for his culinary ingenuity and unwavering commitment to excellence, Colin has garnered numerous accolades throughout his career. His achievements include being honored as the ‘Irish Restaurant Awards Best Chef’ from 2015 to 2020, and most notably, jointly receiving the prestigious title of ‘2024’s Best Chef’ alongside Chris at Highland Radio’s illustrious Best Chef Awards.
