This past weekend, our enchanting venue welcomed over 60 extraordinary women of various ages to an evening of sophistication and gastronomic indulgence. The air was filled with laughter, the clinking of glasses of a 5-star Sparkling Crémant, and the delightful aroma of meticulously crafted dishes. Let’s dive into the culinary voyage that unfolded during this extraordinary Women’s Little Christmas soirée.

🍴 Course 1: Les Hors d’Œuvres
The evening commenced with a trio of indulgence featuring a classic Pâté, delicate Gougères, and our signature Shine’s Salade Niçoise. Each bite was a prelude to the culinary journey that awaited—a celebration of French savoir-faire.

🍜 Course 2: Soupe à l’Oignon
The second course whisked our guests away to the streets of Paris with a soul-warming French Onion Soup. Caramelized onion broth enveloped tender oxtail, crowned with a golden sourdough crouton and a generous layer of Gruyere—an ode to comfort and tradition.

🍲 Course 3: La Bouillabaisse
The pièce de résistance arrived in the form of our Bouillabaisse, a culinary tapestry showcasing Stonebass, Crab & Mussels, Samphire, and Rouille. Served with crusty bread (Blistered Bread, Letterkenny) and Bouillabaisse sauce, it was a true homage to the maritime richness of Provence.

🍗 Course 4: Le Coq Au Vin
Transitioning to heartier fare, our Coq Au Vin captured the essence of rustic French cuisine. Chicken, smoked lardons, king oyster mushrooms, and Roscoff onion bathed in a Burgundy jus—a symphony of robust flavors and tender perfection.

 

🍋 Course 5: Délicieuse Tarte Au Citron
The sweet crescendo came in the form of our Tarte Au Citron. Dollops of French meringue, zesty lemon, fragrant rose gel, and the nutty richness of pistachio were crowned with a scoop of luscious mascarpone sorbet by local gelateria Little Mamma’s in Donegal Town —a divine conclusion to an evening of indulgence.

 

🧀 Course 6: Fromage Français
To cap off this gastronomic journey, we presented a selection of exquisite French cheeses, accompanied by walnuts, pomegranate, chutney, dark chocolate and crackers—a fitting finale to a night of epicurean delight.

In addition to these culinary marvels, the tables were adorned with navy blue and white runners, accented with dried lavender, creating an ambiance of chic refinement. The lively tunes of Michael and Zara had everyone up and dancing, providing a perfect conclusion to the evening.  Custom menus added a personalized touch, guiding our guests through the exquisite gastronomic journey topped with rustic baguettes from Le Petit Marché Donegal. As a sweet parting gift, each attendee left with a surprise homemade cookie—a token of appreciation and a reminder of the enchanting evening.
