We’re buzzing to be part of something brand new – the first annual Oakfield Park Food Festival, celebrating the best of Donegal’s flavours, faces, and food culture. It’s all happening in the stunning surrounds of Oakfield Park on Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th May, and we’re bringing the Biddy’s spirit with us – literally.
You’ll find us at our stand with Food Coast Donegal serving steaming cups of our famous chowder – rich, creamy, packed with local seafood and plenty of heart. It’s become a bit of a signature dish at Biddy’s, and our very own Chefs Chris McMenamin and Colin McKee will be hosting a special Chowder Demo over the weekend (Saturday at 2PM) so you can recreate it at home. Expect lots of tips, a few laughs, and no shortage of flavour.
But that’s not all – we’re also bringing along a wee taste of the pub itself, with a selection of our Biddy’s merch on offer. Think t-shirts, hoodies, pub prints , keychains– perfect for anyone who’s ever wanted to take a bit of Biddy’s or pub life home with them.
At its heart, this festival isn’t just about fine dining or farm-fresh produce – it’s about what makes Donegal food culture truly special: the pub. For generations, the Irish pub has been a place of nourishment, not just for the belly but for the soul – where stories are swapped, recipes passed down, and good food brings people together. Pub grub is part of Ireland’s culinary heartbeat, and we’re proud to represent that.
